Hmong Elder Program
This program is free and transportation is available
WHO: Hmong elders who live on or near the east side of St. Paul
WHY: A great number of Hmong elders suffer from isolation and depression. This program is designed for elders to come together, have fun and learn how to take responsibility for maintaining and improving their health.
WHAT: Elders come together for a light breakfast and socializing, age-appropriate exercises, games and crafts, occasional field trips, a catered Asian lunch, and a sharing of Hmong and American cultural activities.
A Hmong nurse will be available once a month to provide health teaching and blood pressure screening. Occasional health teaching topics provided by Hmong professionals.
WHEN: The program meets every Monday (except for holidays) 9:00 am. to 12:00 p.m.
WHERE: First Lutheran Church- lower level.
